About the Role
Realtor.com® is seeking an accomplished Sr. Director, CEO Communications to serve as the communications partner to the Chief Executive Officer. This senior leader will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive communications program that advances the CEO's thought leadership agenda, strengthens organizational alignment, and reinforces the company's strategic narrative across all audiences. This is a highly visible, high-impact role requiring a communications professional with an established track record of supporting C-suite executives at scale.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a consistent, authoritative voice for the CEO across all communication channels.
- Develop and codify tone, messaging frameworks, and narrative guidelines.
- Serve as the primary author and editor for all CEO-attributed content, including keynote addresses, executive speeches, media talking points, op-eds, investor and board remarks, internal communications, video scripts, and digital and LinkedIn posts.
- Uphold the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and strategic intent across all deliverables.
- Own the CEO's presence at all internal and external events.
- Ensure the CEO's message is expressed across every experiential touchpoint.
- Oversee the development and ongoing management of the CEO's speaking and thought leadership platform.
- Evaluate and prioritize engagement opportunities in alignment with business objectives.
- Develop compelling submissions and positioning materials.
- Ensure full preparation for all appearances, including briefing documents, talking points, and rehearsal support.
- Own the full spectrum of CEO communications, spanning internal, external, and industry audiences.
- Ensure consistent, strategically aligned messaging across all channels.
- Anticipate communication requirements in advance of significant business milestones, market developments, and industry moments.
- Develop forward-looking messaging that shapes the narrative proactively.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in executive or corporate communications, with a substantial portion dedicated to direct C-suite support
- Demonstrated history of managing CEO or senior executive communications programs within complex, matrixed organizations
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities across a broad range of formats and audiences, with a portfolio reflecting consistent quality and range
- Proficient in using AI tools to scale communications deliverables, such as briefing docs, talking points or op eds written the executive’s voice.
- Proven ability to internalize and authentically represent an executive's voice, perspective, and communication style
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex strategic priorities into clear, compelling narratives
- Sound judgment and the discretion required to operate with a high degree of trust and confidentiality at the executive level
- Experience in technology, media, real estate, or consumer-facing industries preferred
- Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline
- Advanced degree preferred
- This role requires regular travel.
- Candidates must be comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and available to travel as business needs demand.
