About the Role

Our AmLaw 100 client is adding a midlevel associate to its Emerging Companies and Venture Capital team in California. This practice is built around founders, growth-stage companies, and the funds behind them, offering sophisticated work and close client interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Advise innovative companies across the full lifecycle, including formation, venture financings, day-to-day corporate matters, and M&A.
  • Represent investors, providing a broader market view.
  • Manage deal documents and closings.
  • Keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Communicate directly with founders, executives, investors, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience at a comparable law firm.
  • Meaningful exposure to venture financings and emerging company work.
  • Comfortable managing deal documents and closings.
  • Ability to keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Ability to communicate directly with founders, executives, investors, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong writing, judgment, and quantitative skills.
  • Excel fluency.
