About the Role

Join an AmLaw 100 client's energy and climate solutions platform as a senior associate or counsel. This sponsor-facing tax role is central to clean energy financing, focusing on tax equity partnership deals, financing structures, tax credit transactions, and federal tax advice across a wide range of energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tax-driven energy transactions from structuring through closing.
  • Advise developers, sponsors, and financing parties on tax equity and transferable credit deals.
  • Collaborate with lawyers across corporate, debt, securitization, and project finance teams on clean energy matters.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of tax equity transactional experience at a national law firm.
  • Strong command of partnership flip transactions, inverted leases, sale-leasebacks, safe harbor structures, tax credit transfers, and written federal tax advice.
  • Sponsor-side experience is preferred, but investor-side lawyers looking to pivot are also encouraged to apply.
