About the Role

MongoDB is seeking a Renewal Specialist to join the Renewals Team in the Americas. This role is crucial for delivering a world-class renewal experience and driving strong retention outcomes for MongoDB's business. Success requires exceptional communication, operational excellence, deal formulation, negotiation, product knowledge, and strong internal stakeholder relations. Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned customer accounts, owning timelines, coordination, and execution to drive strong retention outcomes.
  • Engage with customers 120 days in advance of upcoming renewals to secure timely renewals.
  • Prepare renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their usage, needs, and challenges.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions to maximize their value from MongoDB.
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to track renewal performance, forecast renewals, and identify at-risk accounts.
  • Provide regular updates to the management team on renewal status and key metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, customer success, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to renewals.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or revenue role within a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning deals or commercial outcomes through close, including renewals, expansions, or contract execution.
  • A track record of strong performance against defined targets, metrics, or goals.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience, both internally and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple opportunities to be managed simultaneously.
  • Talent for building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Prior exposure to database, cloud, and infrastructure technology is a plus.
