About the Role
Southland Holdings is seeking motivated construction mechanics to join their team as an experienced Construction Heavy Diesel Site Mechanic.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel and hydraulic equipment efficiently.
- Repair vibratory hammers, diesel impact hammers, lattice boom crawler cranes, and RT cranes.
- Repair earthwork equipment including excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, and rollers.
- Repair small engines such as generators, air compressors, and light plants.
- Work on marine fleets, including small skiffs and tugboats with diesel engines and drive trains.
Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel and hydraulic equipment.
- Experience with vibratory hammers, diesel impact hammers, lattice boom crawler cranes, and RT cranes is preferred.
- Experience with excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, and rollers is preferred.
- Experience working on marine fleets, such as small skiffs and tugboats (with diesel engines and drive trains) is beneficial.
- Experience with small engines like generators, air compressors, and light plants is beneficial.
