About the Role

The Pension Analyst, Employer Services, acts as a primary point of contact for employers participating in the CAAT Pension Plan. This role provides technical guidance, ensures accurate plan administration, and contributes to critical processes including contribution reconciliation, data collection, and member statement preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned employers.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support and guidance on plan administration.
  • Build and maintain strong employer relationships through regular check-ins and status meetings.
  • Deliver structured education and training sessions to employers regarding plan rules, processes, and tools.
  • Support the reconciliation of pension contributions and perform data analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate on system updates and identify opportunities to streamline pension administration workflows.
  • Participate in the annual data collection process and validate annual member statements.
  • Review service deliverables, controls, and operational processes to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plan provisions, legislative requirements, and internal policies.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider.
  • Working knowledge of pension systems, plan texts, and applicable legislation.
  • Proven ability to process pension transactions including terminations, retirements, deaths, transfers, buybacks, and year-end statements.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience in data analysis and pension contribution files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
