About the Role

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting them in selecting and purchasing prestige merchandise. This role supports the Sales Manager by focusing on performance, people, and process, while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, shrink, and omni-channel sales, with a focus on prestige products.
• Ensure exceptional guest service by creating a friendly environment, greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, recommending complementary products/services, and informing guests of promotions and events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Book appointments for and support in-store services and events to achieve sales goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and be knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development and to drive sales performance.
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty's dress code.
• Drive sales by maintaining prestige brand work areas with replenished stock, proper facing, and available testers.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break areas, and ensuring makeover stations meet company standards.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app with guests.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician or demonstrator’s license where required by state law.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a passion and significant competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend corporate business meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
