About the Role
This position is responsible for customer service, cash administration, and cash counts while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment under the supervision of the Cage Manager or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash transactions including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, and cash counts
- Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
- Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash
- Verify and process machine fills, jackpots, cancelled credits, and table fills
- Issue and reconcile opening and closing floats for staff
- Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents
- Document and reconcile transactions, bank deposits, and revenue reports
- Communicate effectively with operational departments
- Build strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and statutory regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling
- Food Safety Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed customer expectations through effective communication
