About the Role
The Marketing Intern will support Ascent’s Marketing and Sales teams by assisting in the execution of campaigns, marketing operations, and cross-functional initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience across marketing systems, campaign execution, and business operations, while contributing to key initiatives that drive student engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and preparing marketing emails in HubSpot, including copywriting, content setup, UTMs, and audience configuration
- Support QA and testing of landing pages and key search terms prior to campaign launches
- Support various awareness and engagement marketing campaigns across digital, email, and social media channels through monthly marketing calendars
- Conduct competitive research and market monitoring to support marketing strategy
- Support scholarship program coordination and execution
- Assist with compliance-related processes and monitoring
- Office support for visitors, meetings, and team events
- Support prospect and account research for Sales and Partnerships teams, including event and trade show logistics and coordination
- Familiarity with or interest in learning AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to support content creation, research, and marketing operations; eager to explore new ways to improve efficiency with AI agents
- Opportunity to learn/grow your skills within platforms like HubSpot, Performline, WordPress, Trustpilot, Microsoft Excel, Domo, ClickUp, Figma, and Google Analytics, Google Ads
Requirements
- Available to work approximately 20 hours per week during business hours (Tuesday–Thursday in office)
- Available for a 3-month internship (July–September) with potential to extend
- Recent graduate or early-career candidate preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new tools and systems
- Eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in marketing and business operations
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to own brand voice and turn it into engaging communications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across teams
- Detail-oriented and proactive in supporting team initiatives
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
- Enjoy being challenged to ask questions, actively grow your skills, and contribute to a highly motivated team
- Interested in understanding the full marketing lifecycle, from planning to execution
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
