About the Role

Kong is seeking talented JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue engineers to build scalable, robust, responsive, and accessible user interfaces and component packages for their applications. The Frontend Engineer will enhance the Konnect product/platform through collaboration with frontend, backend, and product teams to deliver scalable features and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on major Konnect features such as Catalog and Context Mesh.
• Build highly visible Konnect features using Vue and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with design teams to build reusable, scalable, and responsive UI components.
• Work with engineers and product managers to build UI functionalities.
• Write unit, component, regression, and smoke tests using Playwright and Vitest.
• Peer review team members' work.
• Mentor other team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a team developing, delivering, and maintaining complex software solutions.
• Experience developing and supporting a large-scale SaaS platform.
• Expertise in REST API design.
• Expertise in system design, including componentization and reusability.
• Understanding of and development with Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD patterns with GitHub Actions and other platforms.
• Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with full-stack development.
