About the Role

This role is responsible for building, leading, and delivering the end-to-end acquisition pipeline to optimize the selection of brands and inventory on the eBay platform for customers within the Collectibles vertical. The position requires identifying targets and a network of contacts for acquiring businesses new to eBay, managing a significant sales pipeline, and onboarding new brands and sellers to optimize their trading capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and deliver the end-to-end acquisition pipeline for the Collectibles vertical.
  • Optimize the selection of brands and inventory on the eBay platform.
  • Identify targets and a network of contacts for acquiring businesses new to eBay.
  • Manage a significant sales pipeline to provide a constant stream of new inventory.
  • Leverage regular promotional cycles to deliver on critical metrics and success measures.
  • Work with newly onboarded brands and sellers to ensure readiness to trade and optimize platform capabilities.
  • Build and expand partnerships with marketplace agencies/service providers.
  • Innovate and develop the operating model to keep pace with the evolving ecommerce market.
  • Build the team’s execution and operational capability.
  • Drive procedural change and business performance.

Requirements

  • Strong contacts in Collectibles, Trading Cards, Coins, Toys, or Comics.
  • Marketplace background in acquiring brands and sellers.
  • High energy, innovative approach with fresh ideas.
  • Validated background and understanding of marketplaces/platform and resale market, competitors, and supporting businesses.
  • Clear point of view on what is required for partners to succeed.
  • Experience in developing new business for a large organization.
  • Experience working with e-commerce commercial teams and consistently delivered results.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships across all functions and levels internally.
  • Ability to apply influencing and negotiation skills with external businesses.
  • Deep understanding of brand, seller & partner needs, challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • Keen strategic and analytical problem solver.
  • Ability to sift through detail and put complex ideas into clear frameworks.
  • Insists on proof in data, understanding root causes, and using data to drive innovation and decisions.
