About the Role

The Production Planner coordinates and supports manufacturing operations to ensure efficient and timely execution. This role develops production schedules, monitors workflows, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align resources and materials with customer delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement plans to optimize the use of supplies, labor, and equipment to meet production goals.
  • Optimize, direct, and control manufacturing operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan and implement data organization to ensure machinery and equipment efficiency.
  • Evaluate design files to ensure quality standards and report discrepancies to the design team.
  • Coordinate activities between warehouse and production departments through regular meetings.
  • Develop and maintain reports on work in progress, material usage, and production milestones.
  • Edit and create equipment machine files to facilitate automation.
  • Estimate the type and quantity of materials required for production and construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health and safety policies, and operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in production planning or support within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
