About the Role

The Automotive Mechanic will professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tires and automotive systems, ensuring an excellent customer experience. This role involves explaining technical diagnoses and repairs to colleagues and customers, staying updated with automotive technology, and performing work to specifications. The Mechanic will also train and mentor team members and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, basic electrical systems, cooling systems, suspension, and alignment.
  • Perform all maintenance services.
  • Fulfill duties of a General Service Technician.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay updated with automotive technology.
  • Assist fellow technicians and mechanics.
  • Inform management of mechanical repair issues.
  • Maintain an organized and neat shop.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience
  • State Inspection license if applicable
  • High level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude
  • Valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check
  • Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed

  • $21.26 to $34.32 flat rate based on experience
  • Up to 20 labor hours guaranteed per week
