About the Role
West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Program Management to lead large-scale enterprise data transformation programs. This role focuses on modernizing data platforms, accelerating cloud adoption, and unlocking business value from data assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale enterprise data transformation and modernization programs from strategy through implementation and business adoption.
- Manage all aspects of complex engagements, including scope, budget, staffing, profitability, timelines, quality, and delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Direct enterprise data migration initiatives involving Databricks, Snowflake, and modern cloud data platforms while coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Establish program governance, executive steering committees, integrated delivery plans, RAID management, dependency tracking, and executive reporting.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to define transformation roadmaps, success metrics, operating models, and organizational change strategies.
- Lead AI-enabled delivery approaches to improve program governance, project execution, decision-making, and delivery quality.
- Champion the use of AI-powered project management and delivery tools to accelerate planning, risk identification, dependency management, status reporting, documentation, and executive communications.
- Partner with client stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can improve data quality, migration validation, testing, operational readiness, and business adoption.
- Collaborate with data engineering and AI teams to incorporate generative AI, machine learning, and automation capabilities into enterprise data modernization programs.
- Establish governance processes that ensure AI-enabled delivery practices are implemented responsibly, with appropriate oversight, security, and quality controls.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients.
- Apply AI technologies to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
- Develop trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor for enterprise data transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Identify, shape, and lead pursuits involving cloud data modernization, data migration, analytics, AI, and enterprise transformation.
- Collaborate with Databricks, Snowflake, cloud hyperscalers, and strategic alliance partners to develop differentiated client solutions.
- Advise executives on AI-enabled data transformation strategies, helping clients understand how modern data platforms, automation, and AI capabilities accelerate business outcomes.
- Develop and enhance West Monroe's Data Program Management methodologies, PMO assets, governance frameworks, and delivery accelerators.
- Develop reusable delivery methodologies that incorporate AI to improve program management, project controls, knowledge management, and delivery quality.
- Mentor and coach project managers, engagement managers, and consultants on enterprise program management best practices and AI-enabled delivery approaches.
- Contribute thought leadership on enterprise data transformation, cloud modernization, AI-enabled program management, and delivery excellence.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, AI capabilities, cloud data platforms, and modern delivery methodologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of consulting, technology, or business transformation experience leading complex enterprise programs.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale data migration and modernization programs with multiple workstreams, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong expertise in program and project management, including governance, financial management, executive reporting, dependency management, RAID management, organizational change management, and delivery excellence.
- Experience delivering enterprise data platform implementations or migrations involving Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud data ecosystems.
- Understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouse platforms, cloud data warehouses, ETL/ELT, data governance, analytics, and AI ecosystems.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of data architects, engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Experience leading AI-enabled transformation programs that integrate modern data platforms, analytics, automation, and generative AI into enterprise business processes.
- Familiarity with AI capabilities across modern cloud ecosystems, including Databricks AI, Snowflake Cortex, Azure AI, AWS AI services, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
- Experience applying AI to improve project delivery, including planning, forecasting, risk management, documentation, testing, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs, establish governance for responsible AI adoption, and balance automation with sound business judgment.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, build trusted client relationships, and communicate effectively with C-suite leaders.
- Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.

- Los Angeles: $212,900—$250,500 USD
