About the Role

Join Wisedocs as an Engineering Manager, AI Product Development to lead the next generation of our medical document analysis platform. You will manage 2-3 cross-functional pods, guiding AI product and model development from prototype to production at scale. You will own core data, labeling, training, and inference capabilities while pushing the frontier of medical and claims-based models. This is a people leadership and technical leadership role focused on shipping products customers love and scaling AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

Coach and grow an existing strong IC team
Collaborate with other technical stakeholders and leaders on system design and implementation
Ensure the reliability and scalability of ML systems
Implement best practices in data engineering and model lifecycle management
Work with expert-in-the-loop teams to build industry-leading evaluations
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Experience working across multiple engineering teams to deliver projects
Technical excellence in one area of Machine Learning
Strengths in backend engineering, data engineering, or cloud engineering
Ability to think through problems end-to-end, including data, infrastructure, research, monitoring, and inference considerations
Professional working experience with LLMs, RAG, and BERT-based models
Track record of developing high-quality, maintainable code
Excellent problem-solving skills in an independent and team setting
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, innovative environment contributing to a team that aims to make a significant impact in the medical and insurance tech space
