About the Role

WSB is seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their growing team. This role offers an opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects across the US, contributing to a company culture that values strong relationships, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management and process design for new water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and review existing facilities.
  • Prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct business development and develop client relationships in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply various treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Assess the impact of changing DOH, EPA, and MPCA regulations for specific client needs.
  • Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification, proposal presentations, and business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
  • 3 years of water or wastewater engineering project experience.
  • PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, including construction materials testing and special inspection services.
  • Interest in Project management - tracking scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Interest in Business Development - Identifying, attracting, and securing a new, diverse client base.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with construction projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
