About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead project management and process design for new water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and review existing facilities.
- Prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct business development and develop client relationships in the water/wastewater industry.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply various treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Assess the impact of changing DOH, EPA, and MPCA regulations for specific client needs.
- Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification, proposal presentations, and business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
- 3 years of water or wastewater engineering project experience.
- PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, including construction materials testing and special inspection services.
- Interest in Project management - tracking scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Interest in Business Development - Identifying, attracting, and securing a new, diverse client base.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
