About the Role
The UX/UI Designer and User Research Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces for digital services, applications, and online platforms.
- Define and iterate on product functionality using user-centered design practices.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Translate research findings into user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Apply an iterative design approach to test and refine solutions.
- Identify design challenges and develop solutions aligned with technical constraints and user expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and business leads.
- Ensure digital experiences are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with standards.
- Optimize interfaces using analytics, user feedback, and research findings.
Requirements
- Experience with Ontario Design Systems (ODS).
- Proficiency in user interface design for web and mobile platforms.
- Experience with user-centered design and iterative practices.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, and sitemaps.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research.
- Ability to analyze user behaviors and motivations.
- Strong facilitation skills to drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards including AODA and WCAG.
