About the Role

This Client Development Manager (CDM) role supports the CPG segment, focusing on selling Sustainability Services consulting and technology offerings to CPG companies. The role is crucial for helping clients establish Climate Change/Climate Risk programs and achieve emission-reduction targets by leveraging Schneider's efficiency, renewable energy, and supply chain sustainability services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales lead generation team to identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, qualifying, and closing techniques.
  • Prospect and convert leads into profitable, long-term business relationships.
  • Develop customized solutions addressing customer business needs using Schneider Electric's portfolio.
  • Understand customer strategic business needs and build long-term relationships across their organization, with a focus on selling new solutions to existing clients.
  • Lead the development of sales proposals, enlisting support from solutions architects, operations specialists, and other resources as needed.
  • Meet targeted personal performance goals.
  • Negotiate and close contracts for Climate Change, Climate Risk, Supply Chain, and other sustainability services offerings.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve offerings and go-to-market strategies.
  • Communicate and interact with business decision-makers at all levels to identify needs, requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Lead and manage prospects through the sales cycle.
  • Maintain prospect database information in Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven experience selling professional services to executives at leading US-based companies.
  • Extensive experience in executive-level enterprise sales, with proven success in the energy and sustainability services market.
  • Proven success in navigating long, complex sales cycles (six to twelve months) in a consultative sales role.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and scopes of work with prospective clients.
  • Strong closing ability; past experience closing multiple five- and six-figure agreements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and Salesforce.com CRM.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis.
