About the Role

Hultquist Place Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Food Service Assistant to help provide an exceptional dining experience for our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults every day.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned shift duties and task schedules, ensuring work is completed in an organized and timely manner
• Serve meals to residents with attention to proper portions and presentation
• Maintain an efficient pace to support timely meal service and dining operations
• Assist with dining room setup and breakdown, including clearing tables and resetting for the next meal
• Operate dishwashing equipment and support dish room functions, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and dish room areas following established procedures
• Properly use cleaning products and equipment to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
• Follow all safety guidelines and promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns
• Work collaboratively with team members and assist where needed to ensure smooth daily operations
• Follow all Lutheran and Dietary Department policies and procedures
• Manage time effectively to complete all assigned duties during each shift
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn – on-the-job training provided
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and maintain pace during busy shifts
• Reliability and a positive, team-first attitude
