About the Role
The Delivery Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers, while managing C.O.D. collections and customer returns.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently
- Use fleet management hand-held devices for deliveries, signatures, and vehicle updates
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected funds
- Process customer returns and complete driver return slips
- Communicate customer needs and issues to store management
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately
- Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are secured at end of day
- Perform general store duties including stocking, merchandising, and cleaning
- Assist with customer service, phone inquiries, and cashier duties as needed
Requirements
- Ability to match alphanumeric sequences quickly
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing delivery situations
- Driving record meeting company 14/18-point system standards
- Valid state driver's license
- Meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements
