About the Role

On Lok PACE is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of elders through the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Driver will provide transportation services to participants and assist with deliveries and pickups as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of seniors.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles, including proper use of wheelchair tie-downs and lifts, while transporting participants.
• Ensure participant and vehicle safety through van maintenance, pre-trip inspections, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide timely and safe transport of participants, meals, and supplies as scheduled.
• Support participant care plans by assisting with transport and reporting observations to the team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed California Driver with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate all On Lok vehicles and understand vehicle maintenance programs.
• One-year experience working with the frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Flexibility, creativity, and mature judgment in interactions with frail elderly individuals.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Familiarity with San Francisco traffic routes and driving regulations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
