About the Role
Join Upstate Veterinary Specialties, a leading specialty and emergency veterinary hospital, as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Your work will directly support life-saving care for animals in need. We are seeking compassionate, team-oriented LVTs to join our day shift Emergency team, ideal for those experienced in ER or looking to transition into emergency medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for emergency and critical care patients
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals; administer treatments and medications
- Assist with emergency surgeries, procedures, and diagnostics
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians and fellow technicians
- Deliver compassionate care to patients and clear communication to team members
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in New York (or eligible for licensure)
- At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Interest in emergency and critical care medicine
- Strong technical, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
