About the Role
The Front and Back Service Operator is responsible for general production duties in a food manufacturing environment, following strict quality and safety standards. Successful candidates will contribute improvement suggestions and ideas to facility success, demonstrating adaptability and a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Verify incoming materials using production schedule and BOM to ensure integrity and traceability.
- Request, retrieve, and stage materials to the line within QA and GMP specifications.
- Maintain a safe work record.
- Ensure traceability and accuracy of materials usage paperwork and verification signatures.
- Properly label and accurately inventory return materials to DSW.
- Rotate between Back Service and Front Service positions at the determined frequency.
- Successfully complete current written and hands-on training requirements for BR5a classified positions.
- Communicate any quality issues and concerns.
- Clear denester jams and perform basic operation using proper safety precautions.
- Hand pack and load cases to palletizer when needed (Back service).
- Support run-through breaks when needed.
- Qualify for basic operation of equipment, including jam clearing, stopping and restarting, loading materials, and basic operation and troubleshooting, using proper safety precautions.
- Help maintain housekeeping of areas (pallets, etc.).
- Complete and verify proper start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Sanitize all related machinery, workstations, equipment, and floors, including disassembly and reassembly of parts.
- Perform post-cleaning inspections of cleaned areas.
- Operate Big Joe/Walkie, Scissors Lift, Fall Protection, and ladders, and perform required daily safety inspections and battery changes.
- Dispose of all trash and recyclable materials in the production area.
- Remove all products and components from the work area and place them in appropriate storage areas prior to sanitation.
- Safely handle all chemicals and associated equipment used in cleaning, rinsing, and sanitation.
- Periodically clean the Lunchables room and all related material and storage areas.
- Maintain housekeeping of the area, including cleaning/sanitizing equipment as needed and at the end of the shift.
- Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Able to work on weekends, holidays, and commit to mandated overtime.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Prior manufacturing experience is helpful.

Salary/Compensations
- Hourly pay starting at $21.54/hr
- A $1.25 shift differential for second or $2.50 shift differential for third shift.
