About the Role
Actively manage the credit risk exposure generated by EMEA customers from their card and alternative payment processing activity. This involves performing financial assessments, engaging with commercial teams, making recommendations, seeking approval, and communicating conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial assessments of large corporates.
- Proactively engage with commercial teams to maximize onboarding opportunities.
- Make clear and concise recommendations.
- Seek approval from the appropriate sanctioning authority.
- Communicate conditions of sanction to internal stakeholders and prospective customers.
- Analyze financial statements.
- Compile credit reviews.
- Deal with requests for new products/services that generate additional credit risk.
- Seek increased limits as a result of exception reports and/or alerts/triggers.
- Manage financial deterioration/distress scenarios to minimize the risk of loss.
- Undertake credit risk reviews of potential or existing clients.
- Respond to client-specific alerts and/or trigger events.
- Maintain limit and approval systems for assigned portfolio.
- Work closely with the Legal team, negotiating and reviewing bespoke contracts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process change.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks to support credit risk exposure management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit risk/financial analysis role.
- Strong ability to articulate recommended actions and explain them to non-Credit Risk colleagues and clients.
- Ability to formulate solutions for new opportunities or challenging financial distress scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (good written English is essential).
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks, work autonomously, and meet tight deadlines.
