About the Role

Plan and manage hotel property operations to achieve guest satisfaction and financial goals. This role involves short and long-term planning, day-to-day operations management, and budget recommendation and control.

Responsibilities

  • Manage associates to attract, retain, and motivate employees through hiring, training, development, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the division's annual budget, business/marketing plan, and forecasts.
  • Implement company programs and manage department operations consistent with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Resolve customer complaints to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Implement emergency procedures and training through security staff for guest, staff, and asset protection.
  • Create a work environment that allows for personal growth and development, encouraging an empowered and engaged workforce.
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate response to conflict management.
  • Evaluate and support proper staffing levels and positions.
  • Support property strategies from an operation, staffing, and service perspective, ensuring alignment with other business disciplines.
  • Ensure consistent and stabilized systems and processes for guests.
  • Mentor and develop high-potential talent in line with talent management strategies.
  • Identify more efficient and effective ways to provide services.
  • Leverage technology and third parties where appropriate.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by leadership.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Four to five years of employment in a related position.
  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and complex problems.
  • Ability to study, analyze, and interpret complex activities to improve practices or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance.
  • Supervisory/management skills.
  • Communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and/or hotel guests.
  • Moderate hearing necessary for guest phone calls.
  • Excellent vision necessary to assess required reactions to meet standards.
  • Excellent speech communication skills for professional and extensive communication in person and via telephone.
  • Excellent literacy skills for assimilating and generating explicit and concise documents.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry as required by associates within assigned departments.
  • Ability to bend and kneel as required by associates within assigned departments.
  • Mobility to accomplish any task required by associates within assigned departments.
  • Ability to stand continuously as required by associates within assigned departments.
  • Ability to climb up to approximately 40 steps (1% of 40-hour week).
  • Ability to climb ladders up to approximately 5 feet (15% of 40-hour week).
  • Driving required as necessary.
