About the Role

SYSTRA Canada is seeking an experienced Cable Design Lead to support the planning, design, and delivery of Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Cable Design for an LRT Project

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years’ experience in the design of cable containment (trays, conduits, duct banks) for rail/transit or industrial projects
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Certified Engineering Technologist with significant experience in selecting cables and their installation and testing for rail transist systems
• Knowledge regarding containment / route design for major infrastructure would be beneficial
• Knowledge of routing constraints, constructability, maintainability and separation requirements for power, signalling and communications cables
• Experience coordinating with civil, structural, architectural and systems teams
• Preference for Light Rail Transit (LRT) experience
• Heavy rail and High-Speed rail experience is advantageous
