About the Role

RBC Capital Markets is seeking bright, energetic, and talented undergraduates for our Corporate Banking Summer Internship Program in Sydney. This program provides opportunities and professional development to help turn first steps into a rewarding finance career. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate Banking team in the origination, structuring, execution, administration, and portfolio management of credit facilities and M&A-related financings.
  • Participate in the due diligence process for new financing transactions by analyzing company filings, financial statements, diligence reports, and equity/credit research.
  • Attend management presentations and diligence calls.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal credit presentations and related credit submission documentation.
  • Produce detailed written credit analyses and analyze financial models to assess creditworthiness.
  • Collaborate with peers from Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Risk Management, and other internal product partners.
  • Support team members in ad-hoc and recurring initiatives such as portfolio management, administration, reporting, pipeline management, and annual budgeting.
  • Liaise with back and middle office functions to set up transactions on internal systems.
  • Utilize market-leading AI tools to enhance productivity, client insights, and risk analysis capabilities.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated candidates with a successful balance of university, work experience, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Genuine interest in corporate finance and credit.
  • Must be in their penultimate year of study.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and Permanent Resident or eligible to work in Australia.
