About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior IT Architect specialised in Security & Networking infrastructure technologies to join our growing team! You will be part of the Infrastructure Technology Architecture team responsible for Network Security, Network, Logging & Observability, IAM & PAM, and Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops the architecture part of systems and technology projects, in collaboration with other team members.
  • Leads and develops and maintain architectures, architectural detailed design and models, standards, and strategic orientations.
  • Leads the development of the architectural technical patterns and ensure their maintenance throughout governance cycle.
  • Leads and oversees and supports the implementation of standards and orientations for the personnel in charge of executing plans and projects.
  • Participate in the research, evaluation, and selection of products or technologies based on stated requirements and overall strategic domain evolution.
  • Infrastructure and application security assessment.
  • Penetration testing/Digital Forensics/Reverse Engineering.
  • Mentor and guide Security and Network Operations in resolution of high-risk challenges.
  • Work in close collaboration with Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to ensure the technology infrastructure required to support new solutions are considered prior to project or initiative execution.
  • Working closely with Enterprise Architecture and Product Owners, develop and manage the technology evolution Roadmap & Strategies for your respective domain.
  • Monitor the current-state technical landscape of your respective domain to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies or misalignment with business requirements.
  • Present your technology architecture solutions for peer review to the broader Technology Architecture.
  • Collaborate with project teams and SMEs in various IT Operational areas as needed to fulfill the responsibilities described above.

Requirements

  • Experience successfully implementing any Enterprise Security programs.
  • University Degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 to 8 years experience as a Security or Networking Architect in any domain.
  • Extensive experience in Networking architecture including security networking in a major (or large) network infrastructure national or international.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Security and Networking infrastructure with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies preferably prior to being architect.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE ) components and Zero Trust Security Principles & Architecture Model.
  • Can quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
  • Can understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term tactical perspectives of situations.
  • A team player and a technical mentor - willing to learn and collaborate with many groups of strong professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills a must, comfortable interacting with tech savvy business leaders and Executives at all levels of the company.
  • Driven by challenges and focused on delivering results.
  • Organized, proactive and a catalyst for change.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly evolving technological environment.
  • An excellent team player who demonstrates leadership.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
