About the Role

Ox Security secures the AI-driven SDLC from prompt to production, eliminating critical, real-time risks from AI code generation through cloud runtime. We are building the future of cyber security for the AI era and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the infrastructure that powers our platform at scale. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work alongside top-tier engineers, designing and building secure, high-performance systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and other engineering teams on system architecture and requirements
Optimize performance, scalability, and security of applications
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal downtime
Lead code reviews and promote best engineering practices
Mentor and support junior engineers
Continuously improve system design, reliability, and development processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of experience in backend development
Active and proficient use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to streamline coding practices, accelerate learning curves, and optimize workflows
Strong experience building scalable, production-grade systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Experience in the cybersecurity, SaaS, or Cloud Security domain
Hands-on experience with modern cloud environments (AWS/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes
