About the Role
The Sales Insights Analyst serves as a high-caliber data strategist and trusted advisor to the Sales team, guiding them through complex renewal lifecycles. This is a deeply analytical, internal-facing role that requires a high "sense of data" to uncover insights operating in a highly dynamic environment. The analyst translates massive datasets into actionable commercial strategies, equips Sales Team with competitive positioning models, and adapts to continuous process shifts driven by Cisco's evolution toward AI and new service models.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale install base datasets to uncover patterns, data gaps, and hidden commercial opportunities.
- Deliver true operational insights that improve forecast reliability.
- Build data-driven scenarios, pricing comparison models, and asset reconciliation baselines across products, software, and services.
- Act as a strategic backend partner to Account Executives (AEs), translating complex asset data into compelling "data stories."
- Equip sales teams with structural data to drive new product pitches, upsell/cross-sell campaigns, and Enterprise Agreement (EA) migrations.
- Monitor portfolio changes and rapidly synthesize new product updates or shifting service levels into actionable sales intelligence.
- Confidently present data insights and strategic recommendations to regional leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Deeply understand sales needs while maintaining strict adherence to internal compliance guidelines.
- Maintain a supportive partner mindset while firmly navigating and declining non-compliant or unrealistic sales requests.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where SOPs continuously evolve alongside new service level agreements.
- Proactively learn and pilot emerging AI, automation, and productivity tools to accelerate deal velocity.
- Partner with the broader APJC hub to scale best practices and standardize workflows.
Requirements
- 5–7 years in operations, sales support or any related fields.
- Strong data logic with a proven ability to manipulate large datasets, build formulas, and audit complex data structures.
- Skilled in data storytelling—turning raw metrics into a clear narrative—and presenting insights to internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma) is a plus.
- Strong business sense; able to view operational data through a commercial lens to identify viable, profitable transactions.
- Highly adaptable; capable of navigating minor operational nuances and gray areas independently post-training.
- A flexible, curious mindset comfortable with constant change in a fast-paced environment.
