About the Role

The Risk & Compliance Practice provides strategic, transformational and technical offerings in risk and compliance. We take a comprehensive view which enables us to help our clients grow their businesses while staying ahead of key risks, anticipating regulatory shifts, and instilling ethical practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams across financial institutions to develop and implement tailored credit risk strategies and operating models, with a focus on Credit Process Optimization, Credit Model Development and Validation (PD, LGD, EAD), Asset Quality Reviews (AQR), and regulatory capital frameworks
• Drive projects focusing on regulatory compliance (e.g., AML, KYC, fraud prevention), risk governance, and credit portfolio optimization
• Design and implement robust compliance management systems and target operating models for client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and risk classification
• Support clients in navigating evolving regulatory environments and aligning risk and compliance priorities with strategic objectives
• Collaborate closely with senior client stakeholders to enhance compliance maturity, integrate digital tools, and elevate risk and control frameworks
• Mentor and coach consultants to support their continuous professional development

Requirements

• Several years of experience leading engagements in credit risk strategy, regulatory compliance, or financial crime prevention in the banking or consulting sector, with a strong technical and quantitative foundation, including deep understanding of credit risk models
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-industry project teams, successfully delivering complex and challenging client projects.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in AI-driven risk analytics, credit risk modeling tools, and data analysis platforms commonly used in banking environments (e.g., Python, credit risk engines)
• Track record of delivering projects for major European banks and financial institutions, helping them address their most complex credit risk and regulatory challenges. Experience with regulator-facing projects
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively at the C-suite level and build trusted, long-term client relationships
• Fluent oral and written language skills: German (C1) and English
