About the Role

Morningstar's Index business is seeking an experienced Asset Owner Sales Director to develop and execute a strategy for adopting their index offerings within key client segments. This role requires significant travel and is based in London.

Responsibilities

• Create an asset owner and consultant business plan to establish Morningstar Indexes as a benchmark.
• Build and maintain relationships with key influencers in the asset owner community.
• Generate demand for Morningstar indexes and data by securing investment mandates or via consultant relationships.
• Understand and articulate the competitive landscape of Morningstar Indexes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to formulate consistent strategies for asset owner and consultant communities.
• Assist in coordinating events to connect asset owners and Morningstar Indexes.
• Represent Morningstar Indexes at relevant events and conferences.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience in institutional sales and account management in the investment index industry.
• Proven track record of exceeding prior annual sales or mandate targets.
• Knowledge of the asset owner investment and decision-making process.
• Knowledge of the competitive landscape.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships with executive and senior leadership.
• Knowledge of institutional distribution networks and influence forums.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.
• Ability to understand complex investment concepts.
