About the Role
Influence, train, and communicate with employees to produce quality products while reducing scrap and rework, meeting shipment schedules on time, minimizing cost, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop employees
- Train employees on department procedures
- Manage continual improvement
- Maintain the department with a “5S” philosophy
- Reduce/eliminate scrap
- Assist maintenance with equipment maintenance
- Establish intervals of tooling repair/cleaning
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job completion
- Confer with management team on setting and adjusting production schedules
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce policies and safety regulations
- Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
- Examine/inspect materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
- Maintain time and production records
- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
- Mechanical abilities required
- Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired
Skills
- Metal Casting experience a plus
- Extrusion experience a plus
- MRP/Inventory Control
- Lean Manufacturing 5-S
- Quality Control

- 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, from 4:15 p.m. – 12:45 a.m., additional hours required, including Saturdays depending on department workload (which may include longer shift as needed)
