About the Role

Influence, train, and communicate with employees to produce quality products while reducing scrap and rework, meeting shipment schedules on time, minimizing cost, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop employees
• Train employees on department procedures
• Manage continual improvement
• Maintain the department with a “5S” philosophy
• Reduce/eliminate scrap
• Assist maintenance with equipment maintenance
• Establish intervals of tooling repair/cleaning
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job completion
• Confer with management team on setting and adjusting production schedules
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce policies and safety regulations
• Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
• Examine/inspect materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Maintain time and production records
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s degree
• Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
• Mechanical abilities required
• Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired

Skills

• Metal Casting experience a plus
• Extrusion experience a plus
• MRP/Inventory Control
• Lean Manufacturing 5-S
• Quality Control

• Full-time
• 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, from 4:15 p.m. – 12:45 a.m., additional hours required, including Saturdays depending on department workload (which may include longer shift as needed)
