About the Role
The Account Manager is the primary day-to-day contact for all service needs for both external and internal customers. They are accountable for facilitating team service deliverables and managing accurate, efficient, and effective responses. This role requires subject matter expertise in client services and coordination, accurate insurance processing and customer experience delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manages the overall team operations, client coordination, and customer service delivery.
- Coordinates, coaches, and provides prioritization assistance with Account Associates, and reviews and manages the overall workload.
- Leverages knowledge and expertise in client services, insurance processing and customer experience to develop, coach, and assist Account Associates and other team members.
- Assists Producers and Account Executives with Client service commitments.
- Ensures service standards are met, trends are identified, and process improvements are implemented on the team.
- Functions as the day-to-day customer contact, focusing time on troubleshooting issues and helping the client make well-informed decisions.
- Manages the new business and renewal process, and oversees day-to-day client changes.
- Accountable for client service delivery through high/increased client retention, rounding of accounts, referrals, and uneventful renewals.
- Ensures pre-renewal information is sent out within service standards and follows up with clients and insurance markets for timely responses and quotes.
- Manages renewal marketing plan with Producers and Service Teams, ensuring team awareness and execution.
- Creates accurate proposals/deliverables for Producers and Service Teams for client renewal meetings.
- Reviews quotes for accuracy against supporting documents and negotiates coverage/price with underwriters.
- Completes renewal bind processes and checklists quickly and accurately, ensuring all aspects are completed and documented.
- Ensures accurate file documentation to minimize E&O exposure and enable quick client request responses.
Requirements
- Current Insurance License in Health & Life for the state in which your agency office is located.
- Ability to work toward professional designation.
- Experience with Self-Funded plans.
- Comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
