About the Role

Vestmark is seeking early-career Software Engineers to join their Boston team to build AI-native wealth management technology. This role focuses on AI-assisted development, requiring engineers to think critically, build production-quality systems, and grow rapidly in an environment where AI fluency is the baseline.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of agentic systems that plan, execute, and iterate toward outcomes
• Build and ship production-quality solutions with direct business impact
• Participate in the full delivery lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like code generation and prompt engineering daily
• Apply team standards for AI-native systems including state management, observability, and inference cost awareness
• Engage in testing and validation for adaptive, non-deterministic systems
• Create clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews as both a reviewer and recipient
• Engage in design reviews and architecture discussions
• Apply feedback quickly to support continuous growth

Requirements

• Solid foundational knowledge of software engineering including data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Ability to build and deliver working solutions in at least one programming language
• Understanding of APIs, basic cloud concepts, and modern software delivery practices
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
• Ability to engage with ambiguous problems and break them down into actionable approaches
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently
• Strong product mindset with a focus on understanding business context
