About the Role
Vestmark is seeking early-career Software Engineers to join their Boston team to build AI-native wealth management technology. This role focuses on AI-assisted development, requiring engineers to think critically, build production-quality systems, and grow rapidly in an environment where AI fluency is the baseline.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and delivery of agentic systems that plan, execute, and iterate toward outcomes
- Build and ship production-quality solutions with direct business impact
- Participate in the full delivery lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like code generation and prompt engineering daily
- Apply team standards for AI-native systems including state management, observability, and inference cost awareness
- Engage in testing and validation for adaptive, non-deterministic systems
- Create clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews as both a reviewer and recipient
- Engage in design reviews and architecture discussions
- Apply feedback quickly to support continuous growth
Requirements
- Solid foundational knowledge of software engineering including data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Ability to build and deliver working solutions in at least one programming language
- Understanding of APIs, basic cloud concepts, and modern software delivery practices
- Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to engage with ambiguous problems and break them down into actionable approaches
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently
- Strong product mindset with a focus on understanding business context
