The Director of Implementation will own the end-to-end implementation of The Machine, Code & Theory's AI orchestration platform, within customer and agency environments. This role involves scoping engagements, leading deployment, integrating with existing tooling, and driving adoption to achieve measurable outcomes. You will lead a team of implementation engineers and solution architects, acting as the crucial link between the platform's capabilities and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Write code daily as part of the implementation process
  • Stand up and lead a team of implementation engineers and solution architects
  • Set delivery standards and be accountable for the quality and pace of every engagement
  • Translate customer requirements into deployment plans
  • Work closely with the platform engineering team to surface gaps and prioritize integrations
  • Feed real-world needs back into the roadmap
  • Design integrations against customer tools such as Figma, Slack, Teams, Adobe, and performance dashboards
  • Drive adoption post-go-live by defining success metrics and steering teams toward them
  • Provide enablement, instrumentation, and follow-through to ensure successful adoption
  • Partner across engineering, account, and customer stakeholders
  • Coordinate reporting lines and expectations to ensure a cohesive delivery effort

Requirements

  • A track record of leading technical implementations or professional-services delivery for a software or platform product, ideally in environments with demanding enterprise customers
  • Strong technical fluency across cloud, integrations, and APIs
  • Ability to architect a deployment and debug an integration
  • Experience earning the trust of engineers
  • Fantastic verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience owning customer relationships through delivery, including difficult conversations about scope, timelines, and tradeoffs
  • People leadership experience, including in matrixed or cross-functional structures
  • A bias toward adoption and outcomes
  • Conviction about what separates a deployed tool from one a team actually uses
  • Comfort leveraging AI-enabled development tools and workflows to accelerate engineering, automation, debugging, and operational tasks
  • Experience orchestrating multi-step AI or agent-driven workflows
  • Experience selecting appropriate models, tools, and execution patterns for different use cases
  • Strong judgment reviewing and hardening AI-assisted output for security, scalability, maintainability, and architectural fit
  • Experience building or maintaining prompts, evaluation frameworks, documentation, or operational context systems
  • Familiarity with automated evaluation and feedback loops for AI-enabled systems and workflows
