About the Role
The Shelter Compliance Manager oversees contract compliance, funder reporting, and internal quality assurance across Lantern's shelter programs. This role ensures audit readiness, strengthens program practices, and supports continuous improvement through data-driven monitoring, training, and collaboration with program leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of New York City shelter contracts and funder requirements.
- Serve as a primary liaison with funders regarding compliance, reporting, and program performance.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of required funder reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
- Plan and conduct internal compliance and quality assurance audits, including chart reviews and site visits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action and quality improvement plans.
- Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical assistance and training to staff on compliance, reporting, and quality standards.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of program data and reporting tools.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredit school is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in contract compliance, quality improvement, program operations, or data reporting in human services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to travel within the five boroughs of New York City.
