About the Role
This role is an experienced IBA Account Handler position to cover a 12-month maternity leave period. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of client accounts across the Price Forbes and Bishopsgate brands, focusing on cash allocation, credit control, payments, and management information reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support and train junior staff members, both onshore and offshore.
- Ensure timely collection of debts and settlement of liabilities within agreed credit terms.
- Match all cash received as soon as possible.
- Complete all processes accurately and on time.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounting ledgers.
- Produce accurate and timely management information on a regular and ad hoc basis.
- Liaise with other departments regarding outstanding queries, particularly cash queries.
- Chase all outstanding cash under query with clients/underwriters monthly.
- Prepare and despatch statements of accounts as required.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records accessible to all relevant parties.
- Monitor client money payments to intermediary placing brokers.
- Notify appropriate individuals of potential bad debts at the earliest possible stage.
- Undertake other duties, ad hoc tasks, and projects as required.
- Keep suitable records of all communications sent.
- Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate group policies and procedures.
- Work with the Ardonagh Specialty Client Money Manager to ensure compliance with FCA CASS 5 Client Money Rules.
- Ensure successful completion of assigned training and assessment exercises.
- Perform other responsibilities and activities as required.
Requirements
- Previous IBA experience is required.
- MS Office experience is required.
- Ability to influence various stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Significant IBA experience.
- MS Office skills.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
