About the Role
Oversee the full lifecycle of building services across landmark, heritage, and high-profile refurbishment projects, driving solutions that make a visible, lasting difference. Work at the heart of complex, high-profile projects where your expertise is central to successful integration and delivery of MEP services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design development, coordination and delivery of all MEP services throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure building services installations are fully integrated with the wider construction programme and project objectives
- Review and interrogate MEP designs, identifying risks, clashes and opportunities for improvement
- Lead the commissioning process, developing detailed commissioning programmes and ensuring successful system performance and handover
- Coordinate utility connections and collaborate with statutory authorities to achieve programme milestones
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Support the integration of modern building services within heritage, listed and architecturally significant buildings, balancing operational requirements with conservation considerations
- Monitor building services quality, compliance, health and safety performance and programme delivery across all project stages
- Review subcontractor submissions, method statements and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Contribute to project planning, risk management and commercial performance through proactive management of the MEP package
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, heritage stakeholders and building occupants, representing the business with professionalism at all times
- Operate effectively within prestigious, occupied and client-facing environments where discretion, diplomacy and exceptional standards of communication are essential
Requirements
- Experience managing commissioning processes and utilities coordination
- Proven experience delivering complex refurbishment, restoration, heritage, listed building or large-scale construction projects
- Extensive MEP technical knowledge with the ability to interrogate designs and resolve potential issues
- Strong understanding of how MEP services integrate with the wider building programme and fabric
- Experience working within historic, occupied or architecturally sensitive environments would be highly advantageous
- An appreciation of the challenges associated with introducing modern building services into heritage and landmark buildings
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
- Commercial awareness with the ability to assess subcontractor submissions and manage costs effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships across project teams and stakeholder groups
- The confidence, discretion and diplomacy required to work successfully with high-profile clients, prestigious institutions and discerning stakeholders
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with exceptional attention to detail and quality
- The ability to obtain and maintain CSCS accreditation
