About the Role
As a Mendix partner, Avertra creates cutting-edge software products. You will collaborate with a team of skilled developers to create mission-critical products for clients while providing exceptional technical support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new software programs with Mendix
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
- Communicate regularly with management and technical support colleagues
- Design and update software data models
- Develop user-friendly and modern UI
- Test and maintain software products to ensure functionality and optimization
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs
- Update job knowledge through professional development and research
- Mentor junior developers
- Manage small development teams
Requirements
- Follow Avertra development methodology including naming conventions, best practices, documentation, and unit tests
- Translate business requirements into development tasks
- Work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Work collaboratively in an Agile environment
- Communicate clearly in oral and written English
- Possess strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and issue resolution skills
- Extensive experience with Mendix and Java or .NET
- Passed or willing to take the Mendix Rapid Developer certification
- In-depth knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Experience building APIs and services using REST and SOAP
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Team player attitude with willingness to lead
- Commitment to annual continuing education
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail
