About the Role

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, driving tangible, impactful results for clients by solving strategic problems with expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments, and economics. VCA UK&I is seeking a Director to join the leadership team within Client Consulting to manage a team of consultants and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with consulting and client leadership in strategic & planning discussions.
  • Cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.
  • Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations for impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner with peers in marketing, sales, risk, and innovation to implement projects.
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance and growth.
  • Provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
  • Participate in the sales process to qualify opportunities and guide clients to appropriate engagement types.
  • Develop engagement pitches and draft proposals.
  • Secure new consulting assignments with clients in coordination with account executives.
  • Deliver consulting engagements, including managing consultant teams and resolving complex strategic problems.
  • Synthesize recommendations and prepare client presentations.
  • Manage project structures.
  • Manage systems for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and revenue recognition.
  • Develop and deliver client-ready presentations with team resources.
  • Lead advisory initiatives and provide strategic insight and direction to the team.
  • Use data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Consulting experience gained within a consulting firm or an in-house strategy function of a financial institution.
  • Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and Visa.
  • Effective communication skills, including empathy, active listening, and structuring compelling arguments.
  • Skilled in using PowerPoint, data visualization, and pyramid-principle storytelling.
  • Highly collaborative nature with experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to customize recommendations for clients and integrate Visa/Visa as a Service (VAS) synergies.
  • Ability to connect data streams to create clear narratives and guide development of storyboards, templates, and visuals.
  • Ability to draft proposals and lead pitches.
  • Ability to collaborate with partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
