About the Role
E-J is seeking a Claims Assistant to work closely with the Vice President of Risk Management & Compliance and the entire Claims team. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a strong professional foundation, and is comfortable taking initiative.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of company-related claims, including preparing responses to legal requests and subpoenas.
- Create and manage claim and compliance files in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Learn to navigate insurance claims, including general liability, auto, and workers' compensation.
- Fulfill subpoena requests.
- Create reports.
- Perform data analysis.
- Monitor and act on prequalification software as needed.
- Update internal databases.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge of legal/insurance terminology and processes.
- Ability to foresee needs and develop quick solutions to problems.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
