About the Role

We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English) Senior Business Consultant to partner with our consulting team in driving projects through process, data, and technology solutions for external clients. The successful candidate should have strong leadership, project management skills, and possess experience in strategy making, business analysis, process optimization, IT implementation, continuous improvement, and/or transformation of business and management processes.

Responsibilities

Lead business improvement and consulting projects, including Business Strategy, Change Management, Accounting, SCM, ERP Implementation, and HR/Organizational Consulting.
Manage project planning, scheduling, task coordination, and progress tracking, identifying delays, dependencies, and risks.
Conduct client interviews to gather insights into internal work processes.
Assess business needs and identify weaknesses through interviews and data gathering.
Design solutions in collaboration with the HR consulting team and cross-functional stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients and potential clients.
Assist in negotiating contracts with clients and potential clients.
Collaborate with marketing and BD teams to plan and execute marketing initiatives.
Develop new services in response to client needs and market demand.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Support corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Collaborate effectively with internal team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
Undertake assigned projects and tasks based on availability and business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge and experience of business or IT project management.
Experience with business management AI/software and AI/software introduction such as ERP, accounting, HR, and/or payroll software.
Knowledge and/or experience in process optimization and process improvement.
Experience with system implementation of ERP/Accounting/Finance related field is preferred.
Experience with project management and cross-departmental project execution for external projects preferred.
Previous business consulting and/or IT consulting experience strongly preferred.
Professional proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in both Japanese and English is required.
Ability to discover and stick to critical issues to be solved.
Ability to sort out complex problems and organize them into simpler explanations or information structures.
Ability to coordinate and manage tasks under pressure.
Ability to influence decisions and facilitate change management through collaboration and leadership.
Ability to proactively resolve issues and drive project tasks forward.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and project timelines without requiring constant follow-up.
Ability to communicate project status, risks, and next steps proactively.
Ability to achieve results aligned with PASONA's business objectives.
Ability to take ownership in developing new consulting business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic AI tools.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

$90,000-$105,000 (Base Salary) + Profit Sharing
