About the Role
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will grow, gain practical experience with real security software, and ensure each release is as stable as possible. You will be part of our Enterprise team, focusing on the needs of our large enterprise customers, particularly regarding customized solutions and cryptographic applications. Help us adapt our Z1 products to meet the requirements of our enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated software tests.
- Analyze test results and debug issues found by automated tests.
- Perform manual tests when automated tests would be excessive.
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand system requirements, functional specifications, strategies, and solutions.
- Identify, report, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the team in analyzing bugs in CI/CD pipelines.
- Create test reports, metrics, and documentation to communicate test results and status to project stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on trends, tools, and technologies in test automation and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Test Automation Engineer.
- Proficient with Selenium and the Java programming language.
- Experienced in effectively testing web and backend service applications.
- Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
- Familiar with Git for version control.
- Familiar with Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with Docker for containerization.
- Familiar with Gradle build tools.
- Very good English language skills, at least C1 level.
- Familiarity with tools like TestRail, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with cryptographic concepts and their basic principles.
- Previous work with smart cards/hardware security modules or key vault services.
- Understanding of email protocols and RFCs such as SMTP, MIME, S/MIME, OpenPGP.
- Good German language skills.
