About the Role
The Disability Support Worker provides high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities in a domestic setting. This role empowers clients to live independently by assisting with daily living needs, promoting wellbeing, and ensuring dignity and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support in a domestic setting
- Assist with daily living tasks including cooking and mealtimes
- Perform cleaning and general household tasks
- Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
- Administer medication
- Support client mobility through manual handling and specialized equipment such as hoists
- Document and monitor client wellbeing
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a supportive team environment
Requirements
- Commitment to person-centered care
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2)
- Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR certification
