About the Role
We are seeking a software engineer with expertise in autonomous vehicle or mobile robot control to develop high-performance modules for off-road navigation. You will work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment to solve complex challenges in timing, thermal, and power constraints while contributing to industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement controls modules for autonomous off-road vehicle navigation.
- Characterize vehicle dynamics to create tailored solutions and bridge the gap between simulation and real-world performance.
- Evaluate and apply academic research to develop optimal-control-based solutions using techniques like nonlinear MPC and MPPI.
- Collaborate with customer engineers and manage professional relationships.
Requirements
- Passion for solving complex control problems for diverse vehicles in off-road environments.
- 3+ years of experience building production software using modern practices.
- Hands-on experience testing controls solutions on production-grade vehicles.
- Fluency in differential equations, numerical optimization, numerical analysis, and physics.
- Enthusiasm for developing practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
