About the Role
As Susquehanna expands across APAC, we are seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst in Sydney to join our Credit Risk team. This role involves analyzing financial information for clients and counterparties to assess creditworthiness and monitor regional credit exposure. You will partner with Compliance for client onboarding and due diligence, providing credit analysis to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial information, including balance sheets, cash flow statements and other relevant financial data, to assess the creditworthiness of clients and counterparties.
- Prepare written credit assessments and recommendations to support client onboarding and ongoing reviews.
- Perform financial due diligence and partner with Compliance as required during the onboarding and periodic review process.
- Participate in the ongoing monitoring of the firm's counterparty credit exposures across APAC, identifying emerging risks and escalating material issues where appropriate.
- Monitor market developments, company performance and other external factors that may impact the firm's counterparties or credit exposures.
- Evaluate trends in financial performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Proactively engage with Trading Operations and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide timely, commercial credit risk advice.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Susquehanna's credit risk management framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in credit analysis, credit risk or a related role within financial services.
- Experience analysing financial statements and assessing creditworthiness.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and market information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across business and support functions.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.
