About the Role
News Corp Australia is seeking an Education Reporter to create and distribute high-quality education content across its State & Communities mastheads. This role is crucial for driving digital engagement, informing the public on education issues, and supporting the national strategy through collaboration with local newsrooms.
Responsibilities
- Write national education content across print, digital, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Help coordinate the education content calendar, key deadlines, and publication workflows.
- Assist audience engagement through data-led storytelling, tailored to reader interests and platform trends.
- Collaborate with S&C masthead teams and internal stakeholders to align content with national strategy and optimise reach.
- Champion innovation, collaborate with contributing journalists, and promote a diverse and inclusive newsroom culture.
Requirements
- Experienced in journalism or content creation with a strong focus on education topics.
- Proven ability to develop and execute content that drives audience engagement and growth.
- Strong understanding of digital publishing, audience analytics, and SEO best practices.
- Sound editorial judgment, ensuring content meets high standards of accuracy, legality, and relevance.
- Leadership skills to foster innovation, mentorship, and collaboration across teams.
