About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Manager to join our growing Business Services team. This role involves providing professional accounting and taxation services to a diverse range of clients, including family-owned businesses, investment structures, high net wealth groups, and inbound international clients. You will gain exposure to numerous clients across a broad range of industries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards
- Prepare tax returns for all entities
- Prepare clear and concise work papers
- Review completed work papers including financial statements, tax, FBT and BAS returns for compliance, and identify non-compliance issues
- Supervise junior staff on certain jobs
- Set budgets for specific jobs and explain parameters and scope to the team
- Monitor team productivity and assess recoverable time, taking steps to improve
- Perform tax planning for clients
- Assist with advice to clients across a range of taxation, business operations and regulatory matters
- Liaise directly with clients and the ATO
- General business administration
Requirements
- 5+ years Business Services experience (mid-tier experience desirable)
- Degree qualified in Accounting and CA/CPA qualified
- Team player committed to supporting team members and joining in the vibrant culture

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish professional relations with internal and external clients
