About the Role
Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Sorter to efficiently sort and organize incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail and a robust work ethic for a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize products and inventory in the warehouse according to designated categories and locations.
- Inspect items for quality and ensure proper labeling, packing, and storage.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and placing items in the correct storage areas.
- Operate manual or automated sorting equipment (e.g., conveyor belts, barcode scanners) safely and effectively.
- Perform periodic inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing products as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment.
- Report damaged or missing items to the warehouse supervisor or manager.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and management to improve operational efficiency.
- Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and others.
- Cooperate with management to comply with legal requirements.
- Not interfere with or misuse company-provided safety equipment.
- Inform management of any serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.
- Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences.
- Carry out work in accordance with provided information, training, and safety rules.
- Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.
- Attend training courses as required by AGI.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, sorting, or inventory-related role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to work flexible schedules which may be adjusted to meet operational demands.
- Strict adherence to company attendance policies is expected and enforced.
